Each hive of the apiary can be transformed into a “Sentinel Hive” and each unit is equipped with two sensors:

1. The accelerometer or gyroscope sensor sends an alarm to the bHub in case of theft, motion and rollover.

2. The temperature and humidity sensor reports any anomalies with respect to the set parameters.

In addition to its basic functions, it provides information on:

• Device ID
• Date and time of the event
• Geographical position (detected via GPS)
• Low battery
